Every Wednesday at Full Cycle Bike Shop. Meet @ 5:20pm, rollout at 5:30pm
We are hosting weekday group rides open to everyone! There is️ only one rule...DON’T KILL THE VIBE! If you are looking to be “champion of the group ride” we will ask that you stay home. If you are looking to have fun, be social and sweat, then hop on and hit the dirt.
The Spicy route will take on Joder trail and Bow Mountain. Joder is a technical trail and conditions have varied throughout the season due to rain and hail. The Spicy group will regroup at 36th before crossing over to Joder where the climb starts. The group will regroup on at the bottom of Old Stage Rd before climbing up and descending down, making a right onto Wagonwheel Gap Rd. The group will climb up Bow Mtn rd before descending down Linden Rd back into town to Full Cycle
The mild route will stick to a flatter, more classic route of heading past the Res, taking the western farm roads to Nelson before looping back on 55th and back to Full Cycle.
RDC ride members get happy hour pricing post ride! If you’re interested in RDC merchandise please let us know and we can bring it to the ride for purchase.
All riders should ensure their equipment is in good working order, have a spare tube and bike pump in case of flat, and know how to get back to Full Cycle. “Spicy” group expectations are that you always practice excellent group etiquette by calling things out, are comfortable riding in large groups, know the route, can average 17+mph in the group, and are ok with being dropped. “Mild” group expectations are that riders improve their group etiquette, practice riding safely, are comfortable riding in medium sized groups, and can average 14-16mph.
That Other Gravel Ride - Ride Policy
The TOGR ride doesn’t have too many rules. We look forward to this part in our season, where we all get together and enjoy the beautiful Boulder evenings and post ride hangs. For the most part we ride rain or shine…because we just love to ride. With that being said, weather is a bit unpredictable when we kick things off, and as we approach Summer, so we thought it best to lay some ground rules.
Rules:
Be adaptive…we change routes, we combine groups and we sometimes go a bit longer than expected. We do this for the safety and morale of the group. All of these decisions are expressed at the beginning of the ride so you have the choice to bail if desired.
We will not ride if the weather is under 40 degrees fahrenheit. Once again, this ride is about community and pure enjoyment. This is not meant to be a training ride.
We do not ride if there is lightning. We won’t judge or tell if you decide to carry on your Wednesday night ride, but your ride is considered unofficial and not led by a member of RDC.
We will make all final decisions by 5pm the night of the ride. These updates will be shared on instagram and our website. If you do not see a cancellation, expect there to be an RDC leader at Full Cycle to lead you. If weather changes between 5:00-5:30pm, a RDC member will still show up to make the call onsite.
