Route info: Road “A”, Road “B”, Gravel “A”,  Gravel “B”

Our third monthly Collective ride is officially scheduled! If you missed our first two Collective rides, they were both a huge success with more than 60 women showing up for each ride. We hope to see all you rad ladies at 10am on Saturday May 8th for our next big Collective event! RDC will have both a road and gravel ride options, with small groups, and pace options. We will have free pre-ride nutrition, free beer, a free post-ride bike wash, a free post-ride raffle, and RDC merch for sale! This is a ladies only event. Guys, you’re welcome to help with setup and with coordination, but you are not able to participate on the ride.

Hopefully nice weather will allow us to ride a little longer. Each pace group is planning on either about 3 hours (for the “A” options), or slightly under 3 hours (for the “B” options). If you’re not comfortable riding this long please email us. We can plan turn around points if anyone wants to join but not do the full ride.

Minimum recommended donation is $3. RSVP's and masks are required.

In general our "A" rides typically come with the expectation that participants are comfortable riding in a pack with others, practice good group etiquette, and that they know the route (in case they can't hang on to the pace for the entire ride).  "A" rides are generally appropriate for experienced riders.

If you're not comfortable riding in a pack, or are not sure what pace\effort is appropriate, the "B" option may a good starting option. Our "B" rides are very inclusive, and are almost always no-drop. This group is intended to allow almost everyone to participate and have help (if desired) along the way. Often we have people brand new to cycling, or that just bought their first bike ever. This is a great option for those that want to grow, have lots of questions, or are looking to focus on their cycling ability.

For Saturday's road ride the "A" group may average around 17-18mph+, while the "B" group may be closer to 13-15mph. Gravel paces are very difficult to estimate because road conditions have such a significant effect on the ride. We estimate that the "A" gravel ride could be around 15-16mph+ and the "B" group could be around 13-14mph.

We understand this gap in pace between the two groups may be significant,  but it allows those on the faster side of the "B" group to try an "A" ride, and those that want to try the "A" group to know what they are getting into.  One ride is not better than the other.  We simply have different expectations depending on what group a rider wants to join. Each group offers different levels of input and growth depending on what a rider is looking for.
